Vicki is the proud owner of Little Muddy Me, an exclusively outdoor preschool located at Bray Lake, which has achieved an Outstanding rating by Ofsted. With a career spanning 25 years, Victoria has extensive experience working with children as a registered childminder since 2012, as a nanny, and in various day nurseries. She firmly believes that children's needs are best met when they have ample space and resources to play and learn. Vicki has a deep passion for children's wellbeing and fostering their connection with the outdoors. She holds a BA Honours degree in Childcare and Education and a Level 3 Forest School certification. Inspired by her own children's challenges in mainstream school, Vicki established Wacky Woods Alternative Provision to provide an alternative environment where children can thrive. Her goal is to support children in building their confidence and transitioning back to full-time education at a pace that suits them.
I have been working in childcare since the age of 16, gaining experience with children from babies to 5 years old in various settings, including day nurseries, preschools, and as a childminder. I am passionate about supporting children's growth and development and feel privileged to play a part in their learning journey.
My passion lies in teaching Makaton, singing, and storytelling, and I find it incredibly rewarding to see children incorporate what they've learned into their play with others. Working in the forest has also been a highlight for me, as it provides a unique and enriching environment for children's learning. I joined Little Muddy Me in 2021, and I’m excited to continue helping children thrive in such a wonderful setting.
For over 20 years, I have worked in customer service and administrative roles within the business sector, honing my organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. I had been eager to transfer these skills into a different sector, When the opportunity to join Little Muddy Me arose in 2019, it felt like the perfect fit. I truly enjoy being part of the dedicated team at Little Muddy Me, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help create a safe, engaging, and enriching environment where children can thrive and explore. Supporting the behind-the-scenes operations that make Little Muddy Me such a special place for your little ones is something I take great pride in.
I am an energetic and positive individual with a passion for creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments where young minds can thrive. With over 20 years of experience working with children, I have had the privilege of teaching English to young learners in a Spanish school for more than a decade.
After moving to the UK, I worked as a Nanny and volunteered with Barnardo's, gaining valuable insight into childcare and development. Since Spring 2019, I have been part of the team at Little Muddy Me, where I completed my Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification, furthering my commitment to providing enriching outdoor learning experiences for children.
I have been part of the Little Muddy Me team since 2020, and I absolutely love everything about outdoor learning, forest school, and the endless adventures the children experience here.
As a Forest School Leader, I am passionate about creating hands-on learning experiences that engage and inspire young minds. While working at Little Muddy Me, I also completed my Level 3 qualification in childcare, which has further enhanced my ability to support the children in their growth and development.
Outside of my time at Little Muddy Me, I’m a swimming teacher and triathlon coach, and I love staying active with anything fitness or sports-related. My love for the outdoors extends beyond work, and I enjoy helping others find joy in physical activity and the natural world.
I enjoy working with children and take great pride in watching them achieve milestones and develop the essential skills they need to grow and thrive. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with children of all ages, from babies to preschoolers, and each stage of development brings its own unique rewards.
I’m a Level 3 qualified childcare practitioner and currently serve as the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) at Little Muddy Me. This role allows me to support children with additional needs, ensuring they receive the right care and guidance to flourish in their learning journey.
I’m passionate about continuously expanding my knowledge and skills, and I’m committed to ongoing learning throughout my career. My goal is to achieve as much as possible in the field of childcare, ensuring I can provide the best possible support for the children I work with.
When I’m not working with children, I love to spend my time being creative—whether it’s reading, drawing, or exploring new artistic hobbies. Creativity is a big part of who I am, and I enjoy bringing that element into both my work and personal life.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with children in afterschool clubs, which sparked my passion for pursuing a career in early years education. With my deep love for the outdoors, I knew that Little Muddy Me was the perfect fit for me.
Growing up in South America, with the Amazon as my back garden, I developed a lifelong connection to nature. I’m passionate about foraging and love spending the summer and autumn months adventuring with my children, collecting food, and teaching them valuable skills that connect us to the land around us.
I also grow much of my own food and am proud to keep bees in my garden, incorporating sustainability and nature into my daily life. Little Muddy Me’s outdoor learning philosophy aligns perfectly with my background, and I am excited to share my passion for the natural world with the children, helping them discover and explore the wonders of the outdoors.
I’m currently working towards my Level 3 qualification in Childcare. I have a passion for working outdoors, where the calming and peaceful environment offers so much for both the children and myself.
The children love the freedom to explore every corner of the forest, and I find it incredibly rewarding to watch them engage with nature and learn through play. As I continue my apprenticeship, I’m excited to keep growing my knowledge of childcare and outdoor learning, and to help nurture the children’s curiosity and development in such a unique setting.
Since leaving school, I’ve always had a passion for childcare, which led me to complete my Level 3 qualification at college. Over the past 14 years, I’ve gained valuable experience working as a nanny and in day nurseries, where I’ve had the privilege of watching children grow and develop. Being a part of their early learning journey is something I find incredibly rewarding, especially when I can contribute to their progress and development.
Outside of work, I’m kept busy by my two school-aged sons, and we love staying active together. In my free time, I enjoy long dog walks, going to the gym, and catching up on my favorite TV shows.
I began my journey at Little Muddy Me Preschool straight out of school as an apprentice and successfully completed my Level 3 qualification in 2023. I have a passion for working with children, particularly in outdoor settings, and I love watching them grow and flourish. Recently, I have had the rewarding experience of working as part of the Evergreen Alternative Provision team, providing one-on-one support to children. This role has been extremely fulfilling and has deepened my commitment to nurturing and educating young minds
